For the 2024 edition of ZONAMACO, Jane Lombard Gallery will show a group presentation of works by Margarita Cabrera, James Clar, and Aiko Tezuka. Exploring materiality, this presentation collectively considers perceptions of identity, reality, and power. Cabrera investigates borders between countries, focusing on power dynamics and the migrant experience. Transforming fabric into discarded appliances, vehicles, and desert flora and fauna, Cabrera’s soft sculptures highlight multilateral viewpoints of struggle and achievement.
